The Kindness of the Mango Tree | Moral story | English story | Short story | Hindi story

Once upon a time in a quaint Indian village, lived a little boy named Raju. Raju was known for his kindness and love for nature. Every day, he would water the plants and take care of the animals around his home. There was a beautiful mango tree in his backyard, which he treated like a dear friend.

One scorching summer day, the village faced a severe drought. The rivers dried up, and the fields turned barren. The villagers were worried about their survival. Raju couldn't bear to see his fellow villagers suffer, so he decided to do something about it.

He approached the mango tree in his backyard and said, "Dear friend, I know you are struggling too, but I can't stand idly by while my village suffers. Can you please share some of your mangoes with us? It might be the ray of hope we need in these difficult times."

To Raju's surprise, the mango tree replied, "My dear Raju, I have witnessed your kindness and love for all living beings. Your selflessness has touched my heart. I will gladly share my mangoes with you and your fellow villagers."

Suddenly, a miraculous sight unfolded before Raju's eyes. The mango tree's branches were laden with the juiciest and ripest mangoes he had ever seen. He plucked the mangoes and distributed them among the villagers, who were overjoyed with gratitude.

As days passed, the mango tree continued to bear an abundant supply of mangoes, and the villagers found hope and sustenance in its fruit. Raju's act of kindness and the mango tree's generosity not only saved the villagers from the drought but also taught them the value of empathy and selflessness.

Moral: The kindness we show to others is like a seed sown in the ground; it grows and bears fruits that can nourish the entire community.
